Julie Arkell - Daisy made a scene

I had a fantastic time yesterday at
on a Julie Arkell workshop.

As always Julie brought lots of inspiration with her.

These are all individual brooches that,
when placed together, make a scene.

Such a lovely lamby.

A patchwork rabbit house.

A wonderful daisy chain.
I will definitely be making one of these!

Tic-toc watch brooches...

and a 'dear heart'.

Each piece of Julies work is beautifully hand stitched.

A flower brooch with a patchwork centre.

Isn't it lovely?

A flutterby.

Here is my scene.
I bought one of Julies rabbits
and made her a summer cloud,
a tree, a toadstool and a daisy of course.

Another bunny made by Julie...

a large flower...

These fabrics are so precious.

Finally for today this is the little rabbit
that Julie was wearing.
Cute or what?

If you would like to see more of Julies work
she has an exhibition on here.
Thanks for reading.
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.
Love

  8. I am in love with your blog. Your photography is amazing, your tic-toc watch brooches are a true delight, that fabric flower with the loose petals all from different fabrics . . .that is totally the best, and on, and on, and on. WOW, what an awesome site. Your little cupboard redo reminded me of some of my stuff. We have a lot in common. I am your newest follower, please accept my warm and humble invitation to visit and hopefully to follow me, too. Connie :)

  9. Is there any batting or stuffing in the flowers may I ask?

    1. There is no stuffing or batting in the flowers. Just two fabrics sewn together.

    2. Thank you so much for being so kind as to answer. I constantly stare at these marvelous flowers, and can't wait until the day I may get to meet Julie to make them. You also take beautiful pictures. Thank you again from Wisconsin!
