Daisy's Applique Day 2

The beginning of the day.
Coffee on, chocolate biscuits out
and Annie H already hard at work.

Annie D is 'asking' Heaths advice on
how to put the puppy she has knitted together.
Have you finished it yet Boss?

Ahh back on track now!
Annie D is tracing her pattern onto wonderweb.

Val has chosen some gorgeous homespuns
for her nautical theme.

Annie D's pieces traced and ironed onto the reverse of
her chosen fabric.
Can you tell what it is yet?

And now for a random break for a quick look at some
new 'Mandy' fabrics in the shop.
I feel a skirt coming on. :)

Sorry.  Back to work.
Everyone seems very busy.
I'm loving the pink sewing machines.

This is Annie H's 'Mary Mary'
but Maureen says it should be called
'Annie Annie' instead.
I think the colours are fab.

Annie D's Apples in a basket.
I love how the letters are dancing.

Finally for today we have Val's piece.
I wish I was on this lovely yacht.
I wonder where it's going?

Hoping you've all had a restful Sunday and
wishing you a wonderful bank holiday Monday.
Have fun.

Recent purchases - this and that

Morning all.
I seem to have a back log of photos to
share with you of recent treasure finds
so I've divided them into themes!
(Me thinks I may be purchasing too much stuff!)
Apologies for any misbehaviour from my photos
and text.  They are a law unto themselves today.

First up is this delicate pink ric rac and lace.

All for the bargin price of £2.00.

Popper beads from my childhood...

and a bag of  little assorted  flowers.

A bag of antique blue buttons.

      These lovely old luggage labels.

This is my favourite find. I spotted the ribbon first.

On closer inspection it turned out to be Victorian.

      Faded but oh so beautiful.

I have no idea what to do with it yet but it deserves to be somewhere special.

I plan to make new bits of  jewellery with these.

 A pretty blue floral box.

Finally for today a bag of bits including this name tape.
  I wonder who she was?

     And yet more buttons!

I hope you enjoyed rumaging through my finds.
Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

I'm loving pink x

Hello to all you folks out there in blog land.
It's been a while and I thought I'd
ease my way back in with a
few photos of sheer beauty,
in pink of course!

Delicate baby pink.

Sugar pink geraniums.

Perfect.

Okay these aren't pink but they are still beautiful ...

and they are in a pink enamel jug.

A pink peony.

All that fru-fru in one jug.
I have taken sooo many photos of these.

This is my favourite.
Just in its natural form.
Straight from the camera to you.

Have a wonderful day.

My Darling Dad

Last Monday my darling Dad passed away aged 81
after a long illness which he fought bravely.
He was born on 22nd April 1930.

He married my lovely Mum on 20th June 1953.

They raised me and my three siblings ...

and helped raise six gorgeous grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, a fantastic Dad, a doting Grandpa,
a respected business man, a fabulous DIYer
and a great friend to many.

I cannot put into words how much he was loved and
how much he will be missed.
My darling Dad,  sleep well. xxx
