Daisy's been playing

I've had a little time to play.

To hang some pictures,

twinkly lights and bunting.

On a recent trip to Derbyshire I found this cute
mini bunting to finish off my shelves in the kitchen.

I also came across this little beauty in

The bathroom has had a quick makeover too.
I've made a new blind for the window...

added some flowers ...
and found a place for my very useful steps
which also turn into an extra seat when needed.

Then it was the turn of the frame that had been
sitting on the fireplace since I moved in.
i
After living with it a while I decided to turn it into
a mood board as my old one was too big and didn't
fit anywhere in my new house.
(Please ignore hideous glass behind frame
as I try to every time I walk past it!!)

I chose a vintage looking fabric to back it...

and then started to add the things that inspire me.

It all looks quite neat at the moment but I doubt it will last long!

I have already added extra things since the photo
was taken.

Enjoy your Sunday.

As promised

I woke up early this morning
to this spectacular blue sky
with Venus (I think!)
shining in the south east.

Then downstairs to put on all the twinkly lights
and make a coffee.

Yesterday I promised Jayne and Linda
I would post photos of some boxes
I've been making from old sheet music...

and glued onto card and covered with pva glue to seal them.

Then cut, stamped and stuck together.

I needed a few!

To display my flower brooches.

All going to live at Nellie in the Shed.

All handmade and individual.

Stitched using a mixture of fabrics, vintage, feedsack and
a collection from French General

I've also made some book covers
tied with ribbon and a few other bits
that I will post at a later date.

Back to the sewing.
Enjoy your afternoon.

Snow stopped play

Today I should have been taking some of my wares to this lovely little shop.
Sadly though, as I can't get off my driveway,
they will have to stay with me a little longer.

Enjoy your visit.

Time for Daisies.

My life is crazy busy at the moment.
Packing boxes, craft fairs coming up and completing a large
order for the lovely Nellie in the Shed at Southwell,
Nottinghamshire.

Part of the order for Nellie are some pin daisies made
from vintage quilt squares.

Lots of beautiful faded hand quilted precious scraps.
I save every last bit!

Which then have the template drawn on.

This went on for some time!
Thanks Pete for keeping me company and
Ringo in the corner who is always around
in charge of biscuits.

Here are a few finished ones after the free machine
stitching and centres are added.

Only another 25 to go!

Thank you to Rosie for taking the photos.
You are a gem. x
Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.
