Morning all.
I'm back to share with you what I got
up to in the Jessie Chorley workshop
I went to recently in London.
With a table full of loveliness we began creating.
Jessie provided threads, lace ...
and a suitcase full of goodies for us to use.
I fell in love with this shade of pink paint on the table.
We were asked to take some words of inspiration.
I took Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll as it had this
wonderful poem in the back.
And so I began stitching the words...
on different ribbons and linen using an old red linen thread.
I added this bow from Jessies treasure box, some
faded pink ric-rac, a scarlet and ivory cord and a pin on the back...
and this is the finished item.
After lunch I made another piece using a vintage
diamante brooch and some sheet music.
To finish it I added a soft net bow.
These were made by the other talented ladies on the workshop
and the little 'once upon a time' brooch was
made by Jessie.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what we got up to.
On my next blog I'll share some photos of
a few things I could leave without!
Enjoy your Monday.

Ohh lovely I bet you had a super day. WOnder if Louise could get her to travel up north a little to the land of Hope and Elvis to do a workshop. That would be very splendid indeed.
ReplyDeleteOooohhhhhh I knew it would be something lovely!!! How on earth did you manage to embroider onto ribbon anything less than a square foot and I'm hopeless!!! I'd love to attend a class like that maybe you should organise one all the lovely things you make. Any ideas where I might buy a small ammount of cream blanket fabric to make a few bits and bobs with?? I've seen whole blankets on e bay but it seems a shame to cut it up, thanks, Lucey x
